Our Facility

The Floyd County Museum provides our Community Room to the public as a unique space for meetings and social events. Guided tours are available to enhance the experience for your guests. In addition to a unique location, your guests can shop in the museum gift shop for a variety of items and creations from Iowa.

The cost of the room is $10 per hour during normal museum hours. Arrangements can be made for a room rental outside of normal museum operating hours but the hourly cost increases to $20 an hour. All rental times have a built in 30 minutes period at the beginning and end for set up and clean up, which the renter is responsible for. Room rentals come with access to the museum’s kitchen and renters are welcome to leave things in the museum’s refridgerator prior to their event date.

Seating Capacity: Theatre style 100 people, Seated at round tables 50 people (10 tables of 5).
